The stakes are higher when you have more

Most people miss a renewal because the reminder was buried in an email. You have a different problem.

When your life has more than one of everything, a couple of homes, several vehicles, cover for health, life, and the things you value, the load adds up fast. Each policy has its own renewal date, its own provider, and sometimes its own currency. Around the insurance sit memberships, multi-jurisdiction tax filings, mortgage rate expiry windows, and subscriptions that quietly renew at list price.

The real risk isn’t forgetting. It’s assuming someone else is watching, when no one is.

  • Lapsed at the worst moment.

A policy that lapses the week before a claim. A prized possession, suddenly uninsured.

  • The window you didn't see.

A fixed mortgage rate rolls onto the standard variable rate because the remortgage window passed unnoticed.

  • Nobody's fault. Your problem.

A tax deadline missed during a handover between advisers. Multiple jurisdictions, one gap.

FinVault One is the first place every obligation lives, and the last thing that slips.

New Risk Intelligence

“Am I actually protected?” Now your iPhone can answer.

A reminder list answers “what is due soon?” The new Risk Intelligence layer answers the question that actually matters: what does my overall exposure look like, and what should I act on first? One score, from 0 to 100, computed from four weighted dimensions — entirely on your device, from the records you have already entered.

Minor Gaps

Auto Insurance not on record · 1 renewal overdue

Critical Coverage30/35

Health, life, home, and auto — flagged the moment one is missing

Urgency16/30

Clustering15/20

Payment History7/15

Live re-creation of the in-app score. Yours is computed from your own records.

  • Coverage Map

Every category at a glance, the critical four first. A gap gets an “Add” tile, not a lecture.

  • 90-Day Risk Timeline

Every renewal plotted by date and sized by amount, so the expensive weeks stand out.

  • Cash-Flow Clusters

Detects when multiple renewals pile into the same week and totals the combined exposure.

  • Overdue & Lapsed Oversight

Ranked by consequence, not chronology — a lapsed liability policy outranks a streaming trial.

  • Annual Spend Distribution

Annualised spend per category, converted to your base currency across every policy you hold.

  • Premium Trend

Year-over-year premium changes per policy, from your own payment history. Quiet increases, caught.

Computed on-device. Nothing leaves your iPhone.

No servers, no network calls, no new data entry. The score is derived from records you have already entered — and every signal is falsifiable: tap any alert to open the exact record that produced it, and correct it if the app has it wrong.

Features & benefits

Built to hold everything, and surface it before it matters.

The capabilities that turn a scattered set of policies, deadlines, and documents into one calm, private list you actually trust.

  • Complete Oversight, One Screen

Every insurance renewal, tax deadline, loan milestone, and subscription in one list, colour-coded by urgency, sorted by due date, and totalled in your base currency even when the underlying obligations are billed in USD, GBP, AED, INR, and SGD at once. Overdue is red. Due this week is amber. Everything else rests in calm blue until it needs your attention.

  • Scan a Policy in Seconds, Not Minutes

Point your iPhone camera at any insurance declaration, tax notice, or renewal letter. FinVault One reads it on the device (renewal date, premium amount, policy number, provider) and proposes the record for your confirmation. No typing. No cloud upload. No AI service reading your documents. The recognition runs in Apple's on-device framework and stops there.

  • Reminders That Escalate as the Deadline Approaches

A single 15-day reminder is not enough for a major renewal. FinVault One sends a configurable escalation ladder: 30 days, 15 days, 7 days, 1 day, the day itself, and a daily follow-up until you act. Every notification shows the amount due in your base currency and offers a single tap to mark it paid. No app required.

  • Household Visibility Without Shared Passwords

Share a category, a single record, or your entire vault with a partner, PA, or trusted family contact, either read-only or with full edit rights. Sharing runs through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, so the data lives in your Apple ID accounts, not on any third-party server. You can revoke access instantly. No shared login. No intermediary.

  • Multi-Currency, Multi-Country, One View

Assign any of 180+ ISO currencies to any record. Choose a base currency and see the converted total at a glance, whether your obligations run in GBP, USD, AED, SGD, INR, or BRL. Exchange rates are cached on-device so the list never depends on a network call. For anyone with policies across several countries, this is not a nice-to-have.

  • Encrypted Export. True Portability.

When you get a new iPhone, or want to hand your vault to a trusted contact, export everything as a single encrypted file. AES-256-GCM encryption with a passphrase only you hold. Move to any device without involving a cloud service. The encrypted file includes every record, every attached document, and your full payment history.

  • A Risk Score for Your Whole Portfolio

FinVault One reads the records you have already entered and computes a 0–100 Financial Risk Score across four weighted dimensions: critical coverage, urgency, renewal clustering, and payment history. A missing health policy, a lapsed renewal, or three premiums landing in the same week — you see it before it costs you. Computed entirely on your device.

  • Widgets, Calendar, and a Glance

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets keep your next deadline in sight without opening the app. Export any renewal to your calendar in one tap. The Risk Score strip sits at the top of your Renewals list, so a two-second glance tells you whether everything is under control — the way people actually check on their finances.

Trust & security

A Complete Inventory of Your Assets Is Worth Protecting.

Most apps that promise to organise your financial life do so by drawing your data onto their servers, and often by monetising the behavioural data around it. FinVault One is built for the opposite preference. FinVault One is a privacy-first iOS app for managing insurance renewals, tax deadlines, loan milestones, and recurring payments. It stores all data locally on your iPhone, requires no account, and connects to no external servers. It is built for anyone keeping multiple properties, policies, and currencies in one private place.

  • Everything stays on your device.

Every record, every attached document, every payment history entry is stored on your iPhone. There is no server-side copy. We don't operate servers for user data.

  • Document scanning never leaves your phone.

Apple's on-device frameworks handle all text recognition. Your documents never leave your phone during scanning or extraction.

  • No analytics. No trackers.

FinVault One contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no trackers. Our App Store Privacy label reads: Data Not Collected.

  • iCloud sync is yours, not ours.

iCloud sync, if you choose to enable it, stores your data in your private Apple iCloud container, not ours. It is off by default. You can disable or delete the iCloud copy at any time from within the app.

  • Encryption at every layer.

Lock the app behind Face ID or Touch ID. Encrypted exports use AES-256-GCM with Argon2id key derivation, the same standards used in professional security tooling.

  • Your data rights, enforced in-app.

You have the right to export, correct, or permanently erase all your data from within the app, in a single action that is literal, not a request sent to a company.

Your policy data and documents never leave your iPhone and your own iCloud. We can’t read them. Our servers don’t store your records, because we don’t have servers for your records.
Technical trust signals

Data stored using iOS Data Protection (NSFileProtectionCompleteUntilFirstUserAuthentication). CloudKit sync uses Apple’s infrastructure, your private iCloud container. Encrypted export: AES-256-GCM / Argon2id. No GPS or location tracking. Region detection via Apple StoreKit Storefront API only.

How it works

From policy document to reminder, in under a minute.

  1. Scan or type.

Point your camera at a renewal letter, declaration page, or tax notice. FinVault One reads it on-device and proposes the record. Confirm in seconds.

  2. Set your schedule.

Choose your reminder ladder: 30 days, 15, 7, 1, and the day itself. Each record carries its own schedule, its own currency, and its own attached documents.

  3. Get ahead, stay ahead.

Reminders arrive on your iPhone with the amount, the deadline, and a single tap to mark it paid, without opening the app. The next instance auto-schedules itself.

FAQ

Clear answers, on the record.

The facts about what FinVault One does, how it handles your data, and what it costs.

What is FinVault One?

FinVault One is a privacy-first iPhone app for tracking insurance renewals, tax deadlines, loan payment dates, and recurring financial obligations. All data is stored locally on your iPhone or in your private Apple iCloud account. No account is required and no data is transmitted to any third-party server. It is built for anyone juggling multiple properties, insurance policies, and obligations across different currencies and countries.

Is FinVault One private? Does it store my data in the cloud?

FinVault One stores all data on your iPhone and, optionally, in your private Apple iCloud container, which is controlled by your Apple ID, not by FinVault One. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party trackers. Its App Store Privacy label is "Data Not Collected." iCloud sync is off by default and can be disabled at any time.

How does FinVault One compare to Chronicle or Bobby?

Chronicle and Bobby are bill and subscription trackers that work well for straightforward use cases. FinVault One is differentiated by its focus on insurance renewal workflows (not just subscriptions), PDF document attachments, on-device document scanning with OCR, multi-currency conversion across 180+ currencies, family sharing via Apple CloudKit, and an escalating reminder ladder (30/15/7/1/0 days) built for high-stakes renewal windows. It is also the only tracker with a Risk Intelligence layer: an on-device Financial Risk Score that detects coverage gaps, lapsed policies, and renewal clusters across your whole portfolio. Every feature is free for up to 2 renewals; FinVault Pro is an annual subscription that removes the limit.

What is the Financial Risk Score in FinVault One?

The Financial Risk Score is a 0–100 number, computed entirely on your iPhone, that summarises whether your tracked portfolio is protected. It weighs four dimensions: critical category coverage (35%) — whether health, life, home, and auto insurance are on record; urgency (30%) — overdue and soon-due renewals; renewal clustering (20%) — several large renewals landing in the same week; and payment history (15%). The Insights tab breaks the score down and links every signal to the record that produced it. The score appears once you have added 3 or more renewals.

Does Risk Intelligence send my data anywhere for analysis?

No. Every insight — the risk score, coverage map, renewal timeline, cash-flow clusters, spend distribution, and premium trends — is computed on your device from the records you have entered. There is no server-side analysis, no network call, and no AI service reading your data. The Insights screen states this scope explicitly, and the score only reflects what you have entered: if a policy is not on record, FinVault One flags that it is not on record rather than pretending to know about it.

Can I use FinVault One to manage policies in multiple countries?

Yes. Each record in FinVault One can be assigned its own currency from 180+ ISO 4217 currencies. A base currency is set at first launch and the app displays the converted total across all obligations. Exchange rates are cached on-device and updated when online, with embedded fallback rates so the app works fully offline. The app is available globally in English across all major App Store regions.

How much does FinVault One cost?

FinVault One is free to use, with every feature included, for up to 2 renewals. FinVault Pro is an annual auto-renewing subscription that removes the limit so you can track unlimited renewals. Prices vary by country and are always shown in your local App Store before you confirm. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.

Can FinVault One scan and read insurance documents automatically?

Yes. FinVault One uses Apple's on-device VisionKit framework to scan physical or digital insurance documents. The app reads the renewal date, premium amount, policy number, provider name, and policy holder name from the document and proposes them for your confirmation. The text recognition runs entirely on-device and is never uploaded to any server. Supported document languages include English, Hindi, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, and Bahasa Indonesia.
