Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

FinVault One (the “app”) is built to be private by design: we do not collect, sell, share, or transmit your personal data. This policy explains how the app handles information.

What we collect

None. FinVault One has no account and no login. The renewals, documents, amounts, reminders, and preferences you enter are stored locally on your device. We operate no servers that receive or store your records.

iCloud (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud (CloudKit) database, accessible only to you through your Apple Account. We have no access to it. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

On-device processing

Document scanning and text extraction (OCR) run entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Your images and scanned text are never sent to us or any third party.

Network connections

The app makes a small number of connections that contain no personal information:

  • Fetching public currency exchange rates (European Central Bank) to total amounts in your base currency.
  • Reading your App Store storefront region to show the privacy and legal information relevant to you (no GPS or location access).

Purchases

FinVault Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Purchase and subscription handling is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

No tracking or advertising

FinVault One contains zero analytics, advertising, and third-party trackers. We do not build profiles and we never sell or share your data.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California law requires this link even where it doesn’t apply: we do not sell or share your personal information, and never have. There is nothing to sell or share, because nothing is collected from you in the first place.

Security

Data is stored on your device. Backups you export are encrypted with a passphrase only you know. You can optionally require Face ID or Touch ID to open the app.

Your data and your control

Because your data lives on your device, you control it completely. You can edit or delete any record, erase all data from within the app’s Privacy Center, or remove everything by deleting the app.

Legal basis and how long we keep data

Where any limited processing occurs — for example, Apple handling your purchase, or your own iCloud syncing your data if you turn that on — the basis is performance of our contract with you, or your explicit consent for that optional feature. We don’t set a retention period for your records: they live on your device and, optionally, your own iCloud account, for as long as you choose to keep them. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children

FinVault One is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
